This is a quick and easy project that gives a terrific piece that can be worn as a pendant, but could also be added to an altered book, collage or assemblage. I have made several holiday ones to tuck into Christmas cards that can be used as ornaments.
Select an image and choose background papers and other elements that compliment the image.  Lay out the arrangement, moving paper around until you are happy with the composition. Glue the background paper to the charm and then add the other layers of paper. I like to use Golden (brand) Regular Gel in matte as a glue but you can use your own favorite brand. Allow to dry. To finish the charm, I use Diamond Glaze (brand). I just love how the Diamond Glaze will give the look of an enamel finish. The trick with Diamond Glaze is not to get air into it as it will result in bubbles. I pour a small puddle of glaze in the center of the charm and then tilt to allow the glaze to roll over the entire collage and fill in the frame. Allow Diamond Glaze to thoroughly dry, depending on how thick the layer is, this can take a full day.  When dry, add a jump ring and embellish as desired. Be sure to sign and date the back of your charm.
